“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.”
— Ecclesiastes 3:1–8
As we enter a new season here at Blessed Hope Church, we’re taking time to honor someone very dear to us. Our much-loved Parish Administrator, Jeanine Mazur, will be stepping down on August 27 after 17 years of faithful service.
This change is bittersweet. While we’re sad to see her step away from her role, we’re filled with gratitude for everything she has done—and excited for what lies ahead.
Jeanine Mazur: A Steady and Faithful Presence
Seventeen years is a long time. For some of our younger church members, it’s a lifetime. For nearly two decades, Jeanine has been the heart of our church office.
She was often the first person you’d hear on the phone and the first smiling face you’d see when you walked through our doors. Behind the scenes, she kept everything running with grace, care, and a calm spirit.

Jeanine’s Favorite Moments at Blessed Hope
When I asked Jeanine to share some of her favorite memories, she responded with her signature humor and warmth.
She laughed and said, “Watering the piano!” She also joked about “keeping Pastor Rob in line“—and believe me, that’s no small task.
More seriously, she spoke of how much she enjoyed working with so many wonderful people, and how much joy she found in decorating the sanctuary with flowers at Easter and Christmas. Those beautiful floral touches that make our holidays feel special? That’s Jeanine’s handiwork.
More Than a Job—A Ministry
Jeanine hasn’t just been a staff member. She’s been:
- A friend to many
- A cheerleader for our ministry teams
- A calm listener in stressful moments
- A creative spirit who brought warmth and beauty to our worship space
Her deep commitment to Blessed Hope Church and our mission has left a mark we’ll never forget.
Welcoming Our New Parish Administrator: Jessica Chavarria
As we celebrate Jeanine’s transition, we’re also excited to welcome Jessica Chavarria, who will step into the role of Parish Administrator.
Jessica begins training with Jeanine on July 28, so there will be a smooth and thoughtful handoff. We’re confident she’ll continue the spirit of service and care that Jeanine brought to this role.

Let’s Show Our Gratitude
Though Jeanine is stepping away from her day-to-day role, she will always be part of the Blessed Hope family.
We’ll be planning a special send-off celebration soon. Please keep an eye on our church announcements and website for more details.
In the meantime, let’s:
- Thank Jeanine personally in the coming weeks
- Pray for her as she enters this new chapter
- Support Jessica as she steps into her new role
A New Season, Guided by Faith
Transitions like this can stir up many emotions. But as Ecclesiastes 3 reminds us, each season has its purpose.
Let’s hold on to the joy of what Jeanine has given us and the hope of what God will continue to do through this next chapter.
With deep gratitude,
Pastor Rob
